The Challenge

The agency operated on aging infrastructure with servers running end-of-life operating systems, unmanaged network equipment, and no disaster recovery capability. Critical agricultural data and citizen records were at risk due to hardware failures and security vulnerabilities. The existing IT setup could not support the agency's digitization goals.

Our Solution

NIFTECH planned and executed a phased infrastructure modernization project. We deployed new server infrastructure with virtualization, implemented proper network architecture with security controls, established automated backup and disaster recovery, migrated legacy applications to supported platforms, and implemented security monitoring. The project included comprehensive documentation and staff training to ensure sustainability.

Results

The agency now operates on modern, secure infrastructure capable of supporting their digital transformation objectives. System reliability improved to 99.9% uptime, disaster recovery capability was established with tested procedures, and the security posture was elevated from ad-hoc to structured and monitored.
